Terms and Conditions of Use

Before starting using the EASL HCV Advisor application (the "Application"), you should read the following binding Terms and Conditions of Use carefully. This Application is owned and provided by the European Association for the Study of the Liver ("EASL"). All content and information provided in and through the Application is owned by EASL.


By using the Application, you fully agree to these Terms and Conditions of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Application.

1. Scope

The Application and all included information are provided exclusively for authorized medical professionals in order to offer information to the EASL Clinical Practice Guideline related to EASL HCV Advisor.

2. Application License

As a user of this Application, you are granted a nonexclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited license to access and use the Application and its content in accordance with these Terms Conditions of Use. EASL may terminate this license at any time for any reason.

3. Limitations on Use

The content of this Application is for personal use only and not for commercial exploitation. You may use this Application for your own personal use or your organization's internal use only. You may not decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, rent, lease, loan, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works from the Application or its content. You may not use any network monitoring or discovery software to determine the Application architecture, or extract information about usage or users. You may not use any robot, spider, or other automatic or manual device or process to monitor or copy the Application or the content without EASL's prior written permission. You may not print, download, copy, modify, reproduce, republish, distribute, display, or transmit for commercial, non-profit or public purposes any portion of the Application except to the extent permitted above. Any unauthorized use of the Application or its content is prohibited and can result in enforcement actions and other legal consequences against you.

4. Not Professional Advice

Information contained in this Application is of a general nature and does not represent and does not constitute medical advice or recommendations. Because this information does not purport to constitute any diagnostic or therapeutic statement with regard to any individual medical case, each patient must be examined and advised individually, and this Application does not replace the need for such examination and/or advice in whole or in part.


The accuracy, completeness, adequacy or currency of the Application or its content is not warranted or guaranteed. Your use of the content or the Application is at your own risk and you must verify all information and data described in this Application before treating patients. This Application does not replace or minimize the professional or clinical responsibilities of the user.

6. Third-Party Content

Certain links in the Application connect to web sites maintained by third parties. EASL has not verified the contents of such third party sites and does not endorse, warrant, promote or recommend any services or products that may be provided or accessed through them or any person or body which may provide them.

7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

While EASL has made every attempt to ensure that the information contained in the Application has been obtained from reliable sources, EASL is not responsible for any errors or omissions, or for the results obtained from the use of this information. All information in the Application is provided "as is", with no guarantee of completeness, accuracy, timeliness or of the results obtained from the use of this information, and without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including, but not limited to warranties of performance, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. This Application is provided to users as a service and EASL reserves the right to change, amend or delete its content at any time, for any reason and without prior notice or notification.

You are responsible for regularly reviewing the Terms and Conditions of Use. Continued use of the Application after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.


The content of this Application may not be reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic or mechanical, including facsimile transmission, photocopying, recording, or use of information storage or retrieval systems, without express written permission from EASL.
